Welcome to Universidade Federal do Cariri

Established in 2013, The Universidade Federal do Cariri – UFCA (Federal University of Cariri), is one of the newest public university created in Brazil.

At the time of its implementation in September 2006, installed at a provisional seat in the
neighborhood in the city of Juazeiro do Norte, the Campus of UFC in Cariri
consolidated the presence of UFC in the region and reinforced the recognition of Cariri as the
interstate pole of higher education. With the purpose to contribute to the integrated development of the region by increasing its expansion and regional insertion, the UFC Campus Cariri inaugurated a third unit in the city of Crato in 2011.
