UFCA’s postgraduate programs increase their grade in Capes’ evaluation

Two graduate programs at the Federal University of Cariri (UFCA) have improved their grades in the last four-year evaluation by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Capes). The objective of the evaluation is to ensure and maintain the quality of master’s and doctoral courses in the country.

The Graduate Program in Sustainable Regional Development (Proder/UFCA) and the Multicenter Graduate Program in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (PMBqBM/UFCA) received, this time, grades 4 and 5, respectively. The Professional Master’s in Philosophy (Prof-Filo/UFCA), a network program that has recently arrived at UFCA, also rose to grade 4 in this assessment.

In addition to the programs that rose in the evaluation, UFCA, which has been in existence for nine years, has three other graduate programs: the Professional Master’s in Mathematics in the National Network (Profmat), with grade 4; the Graduate Program in Librarianship, which received grade 3; and the Postgraduate Program in Health Sciences, still to be evaluated in the next four-year period.
