About Course

Students of the Interdisciplinary course in Natural Sciences and Mathematics (LICN), on the Brejo Santo campus, have general training in the so-called Natural Sciences (Chemistry, Physics and Biology) and also in the field of Mathematics, to teach these disciplines in Elementary School. As of the fourth semester, they may or may not specifically enroll in the Bachelor’s Degree in Biology at UFCA – which therefore does not offer vacancies directly through the Unified Selection System (SiSU). This second cycle lasts a year and a half, deepening the study of the relationship between living beings and the environment and the mechanisms that regulate life on the planet. Its graduates leave the university with two diplomas (LINC and Biology), qualified to teach in high school as well.
