Library Science

About Course

Since information is one of the driving forces of today’s society, the market for Librarianship is growing and full of possibilities, not restricted to libraries. The librarian is the professional responsible for managing information through organization, classification and cataloging techniques. These professionals can also handle the conservation and preservation of materials – such as periodicals, documents or photos – so that they stand up to use and time. As the main objective of Librarianship is to manage information, there are job opportunities in the area in any institution that needs to access documents quickly, such as, for example, legal and health organizations, cultural centers, banks and communication vehicles.
